De Kus

Een paar woorden, een omarming of een kus is een gebaar dat vriendelijkheid in beweging zet. Het is niet zo moeilijk om te zien wat er niet is. Moeiteloos kan dat worden opgenoemd. Om te zien wat er wel is hebben we een andere kijk nodig, een focus, discipline en liefde. Heel veel liefde. Maak een lijstje van de mensen om je heen waar je blij van wordt. De mensen die je raken, die iets moois doen waar anderen weer blij of gelukkig van worden. Of degenen die niet iets specifieks doen maar er gewoon zijn. Begin dan bovenaan met het uitspreken van je waardering, je gevoel, je liefde. Verras de ander door iets te schrijven, een kort filmpje te maken en zo te vertellen wat het is dat jou heeft geraakt. Het is een bezegeling die in vele vormen kan worden gegeven. Ook op de manier zoals in de tekening te zien is: de kus die symbool staat voor connectie, werkelijke verbinding. Een bekrachtiging die niet snel vergeten zal worden door de ontvanger.

A few words, an embrace or a kiss is a gesture that sets kindness in motion. It is not so difficult to see what is not there. It can be enumerated effortlessly. To see what is there we need a different view, a focus, discipline and love. Lots and lots of love. Make a list of the people around you who make you happy. The people who touch you, who do something beautiful that makes others happy. Or those who do not do anything specific but are just there. Then start at the top by expressing your appreciation, your feelings, your love. Surprise the other person by writing something, making a short film and telling them what it is that touched you. It is an acknowledgement that can be given in many forms. Also in the way shown in the drawing: the kiss which symbolizes connection, real connection. An affirmation that will not be quickly forgotten by the recipient.
